Nancy has 20 years of experience on all sides of the IEP table. . . as a special education teacher, school counselor, educational diagnostician, special education director, and parent of a child with a disability. In addition, Nancy works at the state level to develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the IDEA and has served as vice-president of Missouri’s Special Education Advisory Panel (SEAP). She has provided resources, technical assistance, and training at both the local and state levels on topics including discipline, IEP development, evaluation, state-wide assessment, English Language Learners (ELLs) and special education, transition from Part C to Part B, and compliance with the IDEA. Nancy is a trained mediator and hearing officer for IDEA issues. She brings strong technical knowledge balanced with real world experience and the unique ability to see issues from the LEA, SEA and parent points of view.
